To highlight this relationship, the researchers examined 76 healthy and free from clear neurological, aged between 20 and 80 years. These were subjected to a new type of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) of the brain: the diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) which enables you to highlight changes in the microstructure of the nerve cells. The sample studied was concurrently evaluated using test of verbal and Visual memory in the long term.
